Africa NewLaw, brings together the disciplines of leading practice Enterprise Legal Management (“ELM”) consulting and technology to create seamless solutions that leverages all value drivers across the legal and GRC operational disciplines.

Rian is a highly experienced lawyer and legal operations expert. Prior to starting Africa NewLaw, Rian was responsible for the delivery of Legal Management Consulting services at Deloitte and Head of LPO Delivery in South-Africa for Integreon.
Before commencing his legal operations journey, Rian practised as an Advocate for 7 years and is currently a non-practising attorney.
Zach is a highly experienced legal practitioner and is currently practising as a Member of The Cape Bar.
Zach is unique in that he is a fully qualified computer scientist with work experience with some of the largest platforms.
Zach assists with the development and implementation of the unique Africa NewLaw solutions.
Carmen has extensive experience as a Project Manager in the research, audit and implementation of GRC related projects.
Carmen specialises in data management and analysis in large projects that help organisations leverage GRC data for continuous improvement.
Hercules is a highly experienced attorney specialising in Commercial and Contract related requirements.
Hercules is an expert in the contract lifecycle and how to effectively manage contracts to get the best possible results.
Hercules focuses on delivering contract solutions that enable business.
Greg is a highly experienced chartered accountant with extensive Corporate Finance, Private Equity, Risk Management and Financial Optimisation exposure.
He has executed numerous commercial and restructuring transactions across a broad range of sectors.
Christine was a tri-vector practicing attorney, notary and conveyancer with a broad commercial and property focused practice.
Christine has always been driven to deliver legal services in an innovative and cost effective way, which has led her to Africa NewLaw and ELM consulting.
As a consultant, Christine is driven to deliver efficient and effective ELM & legal operations services to our clients, ensuring implementation of the Africa NewLaw solutions across all services and technologies.
Pam has over 20 years’ experience working in the legal environment. She has had exposure to various fields of law including Construction law, Employment and Labour, Corporate and Litigation to name but a few.
Having held various positions in law firms from Legal Secretary/Paralegal, Office Manager and Knowledge Management (on a Global level), Legal Project Management; Pam has in-depth knowledge as to the operations and other aspects of a law firm.
Elmien has 15 years experience as an Advocate with a practise that specialises in Commercial, Contract and Labour related requirements.
Elmien has extensive policy and contract drafting experience with a special focus on regulatory research.
Elmien brings valuable legal insights to the Africa NewLaw team.
Terry is a global pioneer in the establishment and growth in the E-Discovery industry.
Terry was a practising lawyer 34 years before he focused on providing litigation support services on some of the biggest cases and for the biggest firms in the UK.
Terry is instrumental in the drive towards acceptance of E-Discovery in Africa.
Leonie has been responsible for getting many lawyers in South-Africa their preferred jobs, with over 17 years experience in legal and compliance recruitment.
She has worked with most of the large organisations in the financial sectors and most of the law firms in South-Africa.
Leonie will be assisting Africa NewLaw clients with ensuring that they have the right talent for the job.
Sivenkosi Maqhula is passionate about disrupting the current Legal Status Quo using innovation. He is excited about joining Africa NewLaw because he believes that the future of legal services delivery is digital, human-centred and will prioritize customers.
His experience in Tech and innovation dates from 2016 as a Data Science for Impact and Decision Enablement (DSIDE) intern at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). As a result, he learned a lot about programming languages and artifice intelligence. He is a LawWithoutWalls (LWOW) alumni class of 2021.
Hloni is a qualified Paralegal and recently graduated with a BComm in Business and Risk Management.

Ryan has extensive Internal Audit experience. He has gained local and international exposure to Governance, Risk & Compliance activities across various industries.
His experience includes starting up and leading an Internal Audit department from strategy development and methodology alignment to ensuring stakeholder value. He has have successfully improved the reputation, quality of output and service offerings during his last Internal Audit role, through innovative initiatives, application of technology and staff development, which has resulted in greater stakeholder value and satisfaction.
He has been involved in successfully developing and implementing combined assurance frameworks at various organisations through his career
He is a solutions driven team player, with a key focus on building partnerships and taking stakeholders on a collaborative journey.
